Links to a few a good sites
Professionally:
As President & CEO of Stardock I have a host of fairly conventional duties there that are pretty mundane but the primary things I'm currently doing there are:
1) Object Desktop. I am the Product Manager of Object Desktop. Object Desktop is a suite of desktop enhancements that lets you completely customize your Windows interface. It and its components have around 6 million users worldwide. WindowBlinds (which is part of Object Desktop) is in the top 25 most popular programs of all time in terms of downloads. My job on it is to help design new features for the various components and work to get all the pieces to work together in harmony while at the same time getting the word out on the benefits of personalizing Windows.
2) Galactic Civilizations. I am the Project Manager of Galactic Civilizations. Galactic Civilizations is a turn based strategy game in which you are in charge of humanity's attempts to colonize and survive in a hostile galaxy. A lot of effort is put on diplomacy and the underlying "logistics" of a civilization rather than military tactics. I program the computer AI for this game as well as manage the development team and interface with the publisher for marketing.
3) WinCustomize.com. This website is the world's most popular site to obtain a wide variety of "skins", "themes", "icons", etc. Things you would get to customize your computer. It gets millions of visitors per month and is ranked in the top 5000 websites worldwide in popularity.
Personal Projects
1) JoeUser.com. I'm really interested in slowly turning this site into a place where lots of people can interact with one another to discuss the stuff they want to discuss. There aren't enough developer resources available at Stardock right now to help me out on this. ;) But for now it's a personal blog site (rather than a universal blogging site).
2) Moving. My wife and I are having a house built and we'll be moving there this Winter. Very excited about it.
